Trademark Registration Procedure in Latin America

Although a single registration will not cover all Latin American countries, our experience in each of the jurisdictions allows us to group and organize our services for a single-registration like procedure in Latin America.

The registration procedure in each of the Latin American countries has its own laws, regulations and requirements, however, a very summarized procedure is as follows:

  1. Application
  2. Examination  –> Office Action –> Abandonment
  3. Publication
  4. Opposition
  5. Examination –> Office Action –> Abandonment
  6. Registration (10 years)

Some countries charge fees for every single stage, while other just charge a filing fee that cover the whole procedure. We will be glad to assist you if you have any particular questions about a country.

Early on

I am so fascinated by photography and it’s capability to bring your imagination to amazing places. Early on, I fell in love with the idea of filming my own productions, so I set out to learn everything I could.

Current

I have been teaching myself filmmaking for the past four and a half years and I’m still learning every day. I am building my business as a freelance filmmaker, as well as working on my own photo shoots.
